What the Blog is About
Well, it’s about me and my writing.
I am a playwright and fiction writer and I am also working on my PhD at Lancaster University. Because of this, the blog plays several functions. There are posts about my process, and what’s happening in my life on a mundane, personal lever. There is creative work posted and soon there will be academic work posted here. It is a space for me to explore and create, to reflect on my writing and how this fits into my life, and to work with and inspire other writers.
My main themes centre around gender and relationships. My PhD is exploring societal performances of masculinity, within contemporary popular texts and within my own writing.
I also work within the community, as an arts project manager, creative practitioner and university lecturer.
