I’ve been so ill over the whole festive period that all thoughts of writing lots and being very busy and useful went completely out of the window – opened to get some fresh air in cos I felt so bad! Ah well – it happens every year, I get over excited with my socialising before Christmas and then hit the wall of flu virus around Christmas/Boxing Day. But there is something to be said for sitting in pyjamas all day long watching rubbish films, reading detective fiction and moving very little. Doors locked, curtains drawn, blinds down. Rain, what torrential awful rain? Once I got my head around the fact that I am not at all well, I’ve begun to rather enjoy it. Listening to Huey on Radio 6 Music and waiting for my roast dinner to celebrate New Years Day – yes, I’m not that ill! So, no new year resolutions, cos they’re rubbish and they never work out, so I have no preconceptions about 2012, it’ll happen, I’ll happen, there will be ups and downs and good times and bad times, so on and so forth. I have Zumba for the Wii – I did 10 minutes learning the steps yesterday and it wore me out completely (I’ve comforted myself that it is because I’m so ill!) and I have been taking advantage of the Amazon 12 days of Christmas for the kindle, so lots of lovely reads there. Hooray for everything, especially the ever delightful Craig Bailey, who has been looking after me despite his own flu-like symptoms. Hooray, hooray, hooray!
